So I wasn&#8217;t surprised to see a line of cars waiting to be given the all-clear to head up the pass. I actually smelled it before I saw it &#8230; the scent of mud and fresh spruce and pine. This is where we had a big\u00a0avalanche about seven years ago that closed the road for several days.
